Jaunt converts classic and commercial vehicles to fully electric drivetrains. We've spent the last seven years building some of the most respected electric classic cars in the world, from our workshop in Scoresby, eastern Melbourne.
Our workshop runs around seven concurrent custom builds at any given time. Land Rover Series, Defenders, Classic Minis, Porsches, Kombis, and commercial vehicles.
We need someone who can work across those builds, from disassembly through to the final test drive.
This isn't a dealership and it isn't a fleet workshop. Most of what we build is bespoke. Every custom vehicle is different. Wiring looms are often one-offs. Brackets are frequently made in-house. The service manual is sometimes being written as the build happens.
If that sounds like a drawback, this role probably isn't for you. If it sounds like the reason to come in on Monday, read on.
We're also aware that our processes have room to improve, and we're actively working on it. Safety-critical work on high-voltage systems will be documented to a standard that doesn't slip. You'd be arriving at a point where things are getting more structured, not less, while the creative core of the work stays intact.
